Paranormal Experiences Are Still Being Reported

Yesterday I have some errands to run and stopped by the shop (Jasper Skyes) to see if they had any new and wonderful goodies I could not live without. The fireplace mantle I want is still there, goodie and the shop is filled with many wonderful things.

While I was there I visited with a couple of the dealers and boy did they have some stories to tell.

I Saw an Apparition, The First of 3

It was not unusual for me to stay late at the shop to clean, rearrange displays or UGH do book work.

One evening I was sitting at the computer entering the day's sales and felt a cold breeze around me. I just shrugged it off and continued on with my work and then the same breeze came through again but colder. This caught my attention and when I looked up and to my left I could see  a man standing on the other side of the counter. Now this shocked me because I knew all the doors were locked and there was no one in the building with me.

Upon closer look I noticed I could see through the man. He was very tall and looked exactly like Dr. Jones mustache and all. He did not scare me, once I realized it was not a living person, it was actually very comforting to see him. He vanished very quickly but he did stop by frequently after that.

Another Antique Shop Where Mine Was

Since I live only a couple of blocks from my former antique shop I keep a pretty watchful eye over it, still feel the connection to the place. I am not stalking the place.

Not long after I moved out a photographer moved in. She was very busy repainting the interior and even held an open house then poof... she was out of there after only 3 months.

Then about a month ago I noticed that someone else was moving in.

I Realize There Are Skeptics

I know that there are skeptics out there who will poo poo this entire experience and this is fine. I have always said opinions are like assholes, we all have one. I did not go into this shop with anything paranormal on my mind, I was so overjoyed at finally being able to have my very own antique shop in a building that I loved that my only concerns were getting the shop opened as soon as possible and making the business a success.

When the bizarre things started happening I brushed them off. It was several months before I decided that something not normal was going on in the building. By this time the shop was open to the public and I had customer's telling me stories that corresponded to experiences I had myself.

This was the last investigation in the shop and we opened it up to the public. C.R.E.E.P.Z. came along to video tape anything that might happen and they brought their equipment for us to use.

I have to say that this investigation still brings tears to my eyes. The evps picked up are very touching.

Purpose of this blog

For over a year and a half I owned an antique shop that turned out to be haunted. We had a number of paranormal investigation groups come in and have loads of evidence of the paranormal activity in the shop.

Here I will chronicle some of the more interesting events that occurred. I am sad to say that I had to close the shop in Feb. 2010 but I kept a journal of the activity and have some of the results of the investigations.

The building has a wonderful history and I feel very honored to have been able to spend the time that I did in it and experience things that have forever changed my life.
